Community Amenities: Lakes & Water Features
The beautiful Spirit of Brandtjen Farm community in Lakeville MN is home to the newly launched RT Urban Homes Revelation Collection. This one-of-a-kind housing development features parks, open green spaces, miles of trails, two lakes, and many naturalized water features/retention ponds with active native wildlife.
Spirit Lake.
The star water feature in Spirit of Brandtjen Farm is the aptly named Spirit Lake, located just north of The Barn Community Center. Popular walking & biking trails surround the lake, a picturesque summer locale for fishing with the kids, paddleboarding, or watching the ducks, geese, turtles, and occasional muskrat. The surrounding Brandtjen Farm Park features additional amenities, including a picnic area, fire pit, sand volleyball court, basketball court, horseshoe pit, and play area for the kids.
The winter season is just as busy as Spirit Lake transforms into the perfect venue for ice skating and hockey rinks. And kids of all ages use the steep sledding hill between the pool and Spirit Lake, while moms & dads warm themselves by the fire pit.
East Lake.
On the west side of Spirit of Brandtjen Farm is East Lake, the 26-acre centerpiece of Lakeville’s East Lake Park. It’s connected via trails to the City of Lakeville Parks & Recreation Dept. trail system.
As part of the larger Vermillion watershed, East Lake drains approximately 6,375 acres of land across six separate municipalities and townships: Burnsville, Eagan, Apple Valley, Lakeville, Rosemount, and Empire Township. It is home to various wildlife, including many species of fish, birds, insects, and both painted and snapping turtles.
